Hi Teckno,
I've just purchased a GLC 250d here in Melbourne and have been experiencing the front wheels crabbing issue. The car only has 15k kms on it so isn't old. I posted a note to ask what any local Melbournians have had success with to resolve the issue. I got a reply from 'Toobad' suggesting you're the local guru on the issue
We took our car to MB Brighton and they said the tires need to be replaced. It's strange the cause of the shuddering/crabbing would be solely caused by tires. I think the front end suspension geometry is too open - the wheels turn too much lock. MB have tried to make the turning circle too small I think. Tires should also last longer than 15k kms. No car I've ever had has needed new tires every 15k kms!
Anyway, it seems MB isn't admitting any design issue and is pointing everyone to replace tires. What in your experience are the best tires to resolve the issue?
Any help or advise would be most appreciated!
Cheers, Ben
