2.0t

I mentioned in my intro that I had been looking at the Q5/SQ5 which I did test drives in. I thought the Q5 3.0T engine was very nice and the SQ5 engine to be really, really fun. With the new GLC 2.0 being midway between the Q5 2.0 and the 3.0T in terms of HP/torque, I'm wondering if the engine will feel a bit lacking in comparison?

I haven't drive the C300 which has the same engine and supposed I could but the gearing and certainly the weight of the GLC will be different so it would be hard to compare.

Certainly an AMG version would be powerful but would likely cost more that I want to spend (I have other expensive hobbies to feed).

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Compared to the Q5 2.0 it shouldn't be lacking as they are so similar in both hp and torque and the GLC is 80 kg lighter than the GLK. The weight reduction could make up for it's mid ranged power.
I didn't drive the Q5 2.0T but based on the 3.0T, I'd say I'd want a little more than what the Q5 2.0T gives as I thought the 3.0T was just about right (though the engine in the SQ5 was certainly welcome).
The GLC should be offered with 4 variations but more may come in the future. GLC 220d, GLC 250d, GLC 250 and the GLC 350e plug-in hybrid. I think if you want more power then the hybrid is most likely not for you.

The base GLC 220d: 170 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
GLC 250d: 204 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.
The petrol-powered GLC 250: 211 bhp and 350 Nm
I'm liking the numbers that the diesel engine is showing here. That torque sounds great.
The torque sounds great but we'll have to wait and see if the price point sounds just as nice.
