For anyone as excited as I am to see the all-new E63 AMG, here is the latest:
The next-generation Mercedes E63 AMG has been spied testing.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG will be the range-topping model in the E-Class lineup as the entire series is getting updated with a new, modular MRA platform. Currently underpinning the new C-Class, the MRA platform will help shed unwanted weight as well as adding more rigidity to the chassis, resulting in a lighter E-Class that will not only perform better, but be more fuel efficient.
Compared to the standard E-Class models, the E63 AMG variant will have a much more aggressive front end with larger air intakes, bigger brake calipers, slotted and drilled brake rotors and a quad-tip exhaust setup. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will also be longer and wider than the current model, giving its passengers more room to relax in the luxury sedan. Expect the sedan model to debut first, ahead of the German automaker rolling out the wagon, coupe and convertible variants later on. Powertrains will be varied throughout the model’s lineup, as Mercedes outfits it with a new family of engines that are more fuel efficient in both gasoline and diesel forms.
