Model: 2019 GLC 350e. Low mileage, in warranty.

Symptom: Hybrid battery cannot be charged

Details:
After the car was plugged in, the charging station said no response from the car, and thus couldn't start charging. This happened suddenly. I tried a couple of charge stations, and the symptoms were the same.

The car can still run at Gas mode without a problem. The dealer said no error code was seen about the hybrid battery.

Any hint what the problem is? Thanks!

That’s worrying. Do you have a home charger you can try?
Update:

The dealer was unable to identify any issues with the car after it was sent to them, but they suggested replacing the battery due to wear and tear. However, I was doubtful about this recommendation since the car can still be started without any difficulty.

Upon receiving the car back, I noticed that the charging problem had been resolved. However, a new issue has arisen, whereby the car frequently displays a "Battery Malfunction" message and the hybrid battery can only be discharged from 14 miles to 9 miles, and then stuck at 9 miles.

Any hint about this new issue? Should I try to replace the battery first (more than 3 years old anyway)? Thank you!
