2022 GLC 300 making clunking/metallic noises not able to drive

Hello, I'm new to this forum. My mom recently got a 2022 GLC 300 and had to get it towed to the dealership last night. The car started up fine but when my mother tried to drive away in the parking lot, the car moved only like 3 feet then started to make some clunking /metallic noises around the driveshaft I believe. The car only has 8600km on it. She tried shutting off the car and turning it back on but still same issue. We are currently waiting for the dealership to get back to us regarding what's wrong with the vehicle.
