Got a question for the group. Recently on a fairly long rode trip, about 5300 miles, I noticed a peculiar vibration in the steering wheel immediately upon and for a few minutes after a cold start. The steering wheel seemed to have a high frequency vibration, almost a buzz that was very noticeable. The vibration went away within a few minutes of start.

Has anyone noticed a similar event in their GLCs?

Typically, If I can remember correctly, all of my vehicles have done that as when you're on cold start, the rpms are maintaining a higher than idle scenario and that'll give you a slight frequency vibration. Crank is dipping through thicker oil so the resistance alone could be giving you that.

Understand the oil being thicker part, but higher RPM apparently doesn't matter. Once the vibration goes away, it does not reappear even at over 80 MPH or in RPM 1900. I believe our steering is electric, is it not? I wonder if whatever powers steering vibrates when cold.
