Active Brake Assist system question

887 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Star
I just got my new GLC300 two weeks ago. The car is equipped with the Driver Assistance Package and I have the following question:
Will the Active Brake Assist system always be ON whether the Adaptive Cruise Control has been engaged or not? I found out that it works fine when the Adaptive Cruise Control is engaged, but I’m unsure if it does when the ACC is disengaged.
I really don’t want to try to test this feature because of the risk involved if it didn’t work.
Thanks,

Mine works without cruise being engaged. Find it is too sensitive as the brakes have been applied because the car seems an object ahead which isn't a problem. 🙈

Thanks for your reply stubax. Even so I have selected the Active Brake Assist to Early, I do not get any warning or braking action when I come close to a car in front of me in the same lane on a motorway. It makes me doubt the system works.
