Adding Soundproof Glass after market

I recently purchased a 2021 GLC 300 and it does not have the acoustic or heat/soundproof side glass. I've read online of people getting this done after the purchase of their new car, but I wasn't sure what the process would be. I've called 2 dealers in my area and both dealers tell me they will not do this and maybe some aftermarket place will do it. When I asked both of them if it's more than just slapping some new glass in, they say "I don't know."

I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if it requires anything other than new glass? I know the glass is 1mm thicker, so I'm thinking maybe the weather strip channeling may need to be changed out as well?

I see Safelite offers the option to have them install the soundproof glass, but only if it's currently on your car and you're replacing it. Are there any shops that have this as an aftermarket option?

The dealerships can do it. If you complain about wind noise while driving on the highway they will give you acoustic windows. The dealerships I know will replace them under warranty.

I did it too. My car has wind noise. It still does. I'm annoyed by it. But the acoustic glass they installed makes it a quieter experience. I will soon be replacing the horrible run flats that make the ride harsh.
