Hi,

Has anyone else got the air balance pack? I've had it switched on (I think) since new, but really cant notice the smell. Is it just subtle, or do you have to explicitly switch it on? In the menu, it set to level 3, and shows as if it working. The canister doesn't look like its going down either.

Think it might of been easier/cheaper to get a £1 air freshener from Halfords....

Same here, haven't figured out if it's working yet. Do we need to remove the top on the fragrance jar so we can take off a seal of some kind?

I agree about the car freshener.

You do not need to remove anything. You need to turn the car on and use the menu navigation knob to go down until you have selected the A/C options then "click" on it to enter the menu. Once you are in that menu you can turn on the ionizer and fragrance. Source: car manual.

Wonkey:
I had a S550 and S63 previously, and both were preowned. So I put my own air freshener liquid into the vial, and it worked great when the options were chosen for level 3 on the menu settings and Ionization turned on. I just purchased a new S Class and the air freshener does not seem to be detectable at all. Guess I will need to take it to the dealer to have it diagnosed.
