Anyone else waiting and suffering delays?

Hi all,

As I excitedly wait for my GLC, just heard the build date has been put back a week :surprise: no apparent reason attached to it. It was scheduled for 24th August..

Just wondered if anyone else was delayed. I did notice that someone else had a 24th August build date on the forum, but can't find the post now :-(

Thanks,
Graham

Hi,

My GLC have been put on hold the last three weeks. Salesman do not know why.
Aside from a production delay, we could be experiencing a shipping delay as well thanks to the recent hurricane.

This was from Jalopnik:
Houston and the Gulf region represent a major port of entry for automobiles into North America, and Texas’ highways and rail operations are a big part of how those vehicles (and parts) get to where they need to go. Buyers can expect major disruptions along those lines due to the storm.
Mine has moved from 4th sept to 21st

My car is already manufactured. Has been in the German harbor for 4 weeks. Has been notified that it is about quality problems.

Hi there

Mines actually been bought forward by 3 1/2 weeks!

No explanation why (and I didn't complain) due last week of September now (ordered last week on June)

I hope that's a one off problem with that GLC and not a more common issue. Maybe that's why some are delayed?

My car is now ready for delivery. I'll get it on Thursday. Finally!
How are you tracking it?
By nagging my dealer. Actually I've only asked for one update, but, just like an excited child, I'd like daily updates, even if there was no update at all haha..

@potuss - Just out of interest, when did you order?
Then it's about time for them to deliver your GLC. I'm amazed they took over half a year to deliver from ordering date.

Heard from my dealer today, my car is apparently on it's way to the port, so hopefully not long now.

I have decided against running boards and it's quite difficult to find many photos of a GLC without them. I love the look of them, but thought they got in the way when getting in and out. The car doesn't seem high enough to warrant them. The only thing I'm sort of regretting is not ordering 360 camera. Still, I guess you can't have everything :)
hopefully your GLC is loaded onto a truck that goes directly to your dealer's area, I've seen some transport maps and they sometimes go in huge circles.

360 camera is nice, but I find that people lose the ability to park without it over time. Happened to a friend of mine and not they can't back in without it.

8th September, delayed until "late October, exact date unconfirmed"
Im new here, looking forward to learning. After 3 1/2 months from build, i finally took ownership of my New GLC AMG43 on 11-11-17, racked up 64 miles so far trying to find my way around, so ill baby it until she hits 1K befour i get up on it!!Very Happy she purrs so nice......
Yup right not many without running boards, but of the few i've seen, looks good, personally i got them to keep the dirt off the body and also love the thick stance they bring
