Blindly searching for Blind Spot Assistance

Hello to all,
Old car died, time for a new (used) car. Family has decided on GLC (narrowly beating the X3 and Q5) - all good so far. Budget c.25k

However, the one 'must have' feature for us is blind spot assistance - feature that warns of object in blind spot if you indicate / start to change lanes. Had this on previous car and found it very useful on a couple of occasions!

Struggling, even having spoken to dealer, to work out what this feature is called on GLC / what options package we should search for on the net. It is fairly standard on a lot of modern cars but doesn't seem to be common on the GLC?

Really grateful for a steer (so to speak).

Oh and if anyone (in the UK) is selling a GLC with this option, sunroof, and oyster nevada leather interior - please do let me know !!

Cheers in advance,

Jim

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum. The official MB term is Active Blind Spot Assist. IIRC this feature was included in one of the Driver Assistance packages you could tick as an option when specifying either the Premium or Premium Plus trim level. Of course this was in 2016 when I was speccing my 220d Sport. It is designed to work in conjuction with Active Lane Keeping Assist. The link below explains in detail how they work:
