"Clunking" noise while breaking

Hi, I have a 2018 250 GLC 4matic. Today I noticed a "clunking" noise while breaking. Initially I thought I had just ran over a can or something but every 7/8 minutes I heard a noise like a tin can hitting the plastic directly under my left foot near the break peddle.
I also noticed I can feel a very faint vibration at the exact time of the "clunk." There is no pattern to when this happens only I noticed as the day went on that it usually happened when breaking. Not breaking hard or stopping but just as I touch the brake to slow down.
The frustrating thing is it only happens every 7/8 minutes. I could drive and brake loads and nothing. It was serviced last month (only 8000 miles) and was told it was perfect!
I've checked underneath and the guards are all secure and nothing looks out of place.
Anybody have any idea?
I'm sure anybody reading this can tell I'm not very mechanically minded but I'm concerned whatever it is could be causing serious damage.
Thanks in advance, Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Did you have any other bother with it??
I am in a similar issue - but in my car the front differential is now broken and will cost me 4k to replace - 35k miles on the clock - Merc are not willing to accept that it is a design fault.
i have GLC300 coupe 2021 only 1000km on it
When I put in park break manually after drive I can hear loud Clunking noise from under the car for about 30 seconds It started since last week
