Does anyone know if a new map update came out this year? I have version 12 installed last year and as the car is being serviced in a couple of weeks would ask then to update if available.

Hi

Did you get an answer to this as I am in the same position
Hi, my cars going in on Monday to have v13 2019 installed (I hope!!)
I have contacted MBUK customer care and they say that 2019 V13 is the latest map data available for my 250D comand online.

This has been available for best part of a year and V14 should be available soon.

However my local dealer has twice told me (in July and only last week) that my vehicle had the latest version available installed (v12) which is not true.
MBUK are escalating this with the dealership to find out why they have twice failed to update my Sat Nav map version!

Moral of the story - don't believe everything your dealership tells you!
Cant wait to try to get V14!!! lol :|

Just had the garage off the phone thats doing the map update on Monday:

Map update will only take 30 minutes. We will make sure we have it already downloaded on to a USB stick when you arrive. :surprise:
I wont be getting a courtesy car as its under some 2 hour rule. They were ringing to make sure I was OK to sit and wait! :surprise:
The squeaky brakes is not a warranty issue and I will have to pay them if theres a fault. I only bought it on 29/11/19!! :surprise:
The steering knuckle issue will need to be assessed and if you qualify we will have to order in the parts and rebook an appointment :surprise:

Does a map update on these cars only take 30 mins as I have seen posts where they say 2-3 hours?

Yes ditch, if it works will only take 30 minutes, sometimes it stops and they have to restart it. Takes about 20 minutes for me to do it on my GLE, that's if I do all the countries, if I just do UK and Ireland is under 10 minutes.

I'm just up the road from you so sent you a pm.

Did you use one of the Sytner dealers? i.e. Newcastle, Sunderland etc as I have the same issue with Newcastle saying version 13 isn't available anywhere in the UK. I pressed the point as MB customer services had told me a couple of weeks previously that it is available and I wanted it installed when my car was in just a few weeks ago.

MB have still not given me a satisfactory answer or explanation.

Had my 13V installed in June, with the latest firmware but i cant remember which version as it was part of a major fix on my car (Hermes unit etc) it took the dealer 3 goes for the maps to take and they nearly gave up.

Good luck.

You can check version in settings.

Could I ask you to do a favour and physically check that it is version 13 in your car and not v12. Very simple to check in the settings for Nav.

If it is correct then I have a major beef with Mercedes and will be taking them to task as I was categorically told just a few weeks ago that v13 is not available yet in the UK

Much appreciated if you can

Hi Bob,

Yes, V13 Europe installed late May with major firmware as above, originally it had V11.

John.
Thanks John will take that up with MB, out of interest which dealer installed the update?
How do you check to see the navigation map version number? I don't use the SUV navigation often as I found that the route guidance is often longer than Waze.

Sorry for the late reply, I use MB Hemel Hempstead
Thanks John
Hi Bob,
did you manage to get v13 ?
Just had a service and knuckle fix, asked if they could update maps, told I have current version, which is V12.
How to check sat nav version?

Hi

Just joined website after trying to find info on GLC sat nav updates!!

After reading your thread I have tried to find out how to check my Sat Nav version to no avail.

Can anyone let me know how I go about finding my installed version!

I purchased the GLC new in 2016 with upgraded Sat Nav/ Info media screen.

I live in Aberdeen and we have had a new 25 mile city bypass and associated tie-ins which opened in 2018 and have been frustrated that Mercedes still not issued an update....yet low and behold you all seem to have had UK updates! This was reason for screen upgrade!

Funny thing is.... I have complained to Mercedes UK and dealer in Aberdeen every 6 months since 2017 and each tells me there is no UK update available!

ANY info would be appreciated.

Phone customer services and they will tell you what the latest version for your car is. Go into sat nav settings and you will find what is installed in your car.

I got my GLE last June and have done 2 nav updates since, mbux is obviously different here not tom tom but my old glc was updated at the service every year.
Step by step guide to ascertain what version Sat Nav you currently have installed. (Command Online)

1. Bring Sat Nav up on your display and toggle across to Navigation settings. (The wheel symbol far left bottom row) press to bring up options.
2. Scroll down to Map Content, press to bring up options.
3. Scroll down to Map Version, press to bring up details.

Mine currently reads 2018 (V12.0) Europe

The latest one is 2019 (Version 13.0) Europe
I haven't been back to them John as I'm so annoyed at MB Newcastle attitude and lies. In November that guy Siddiq said he had checked and ver 13 did not exist in the UK which was a lie as other members had it installed earlier last year and MB customer services had previously told me it was available. Might be worth a call to MB and tell them what Newcastle said.

I might just wait now until ver 14 is out and get it installed at Coldsteam dealer.
