2017 GLC 48k miles. Engine light diagnostic produced the above condition. Certified MB mechanic said $2,500 to fix and then could happen again - no warranty from MB. Mechanic has seen 5 cars with same dx ( he has one). Has not seen any bad results with not repairing. Going on 700 mile drive tomorrow. He told me to have a nice trip. What do you think?

I was told that if the valve is stuck open it is fine but if it closes it will build up pressure and blow the engine
