I received an email today from AT&T telling me that I've used up my 1 GB of trial mobile hotspot in my GLC300. I activated the trial period little over a week ago to see if I like it and connected my laptop and my daughter iPad to it, but have not used it since. So I was a little surprised when I received the email from AT&T. I called them to inquire. What I was told was that Mercedes pushed update to my car's dashboard and that was what used up the data plan. I then asked if I had not signed up for the mobile hotspot, how would Mercedes pushed the update. The answer I got was that if that had been the case, I would have to bring the car to service center to get the dashboard updated. Have anyone heard of such thing or experienced same thing with their car's mobile hotspot? Should I call service center and inquire about that?
