Hi All.. a bit new around here and just looking for some advice if I could please.
For 20 years now I've had Land Rover.. Not the big ones, just Freelanders as I like the price and running costs. I have one of the last Freelanders made as when the new Discovery Sport came out I was not a fan and one we had at work had no end of issues, so I've kept my trusty Freelander in warranty for the past 10 years. Its now 10 and over 100K miles so has to go as its my business vehicle also.
So, what to buy. I've looked at Volvo and a few other makes but nothing floated my boat. XC60 plug in would be good, but 10 months waiting list for a new one.
I'd bought a GLC300 4matic plug in (2 ltr diesel) for a rep that works for us on a 21 plate with 10K on it and thought it looked rather smart... Well, said rep has now gone and it's mine if I want it
So a couple of questions if I could
1 It's a plug in hybrid which is good, and it goes very well, but where I work in Halifax there are a low of big hills some 1:3. In the snow my Freelander with its hill decent has always been great coming down hills and braking the wheels itself, so the question is, what are GLC's like in snow? up hill and especially down hill?
2 I have a small trailer that I use for the tip and to move motorbikes on, but I did read somewhere that you can't fit a tow bar to the plug in cars? is this correct as that would cause me issues.
It's a very nice car, not as big or tall as the Freelander but maybe a change will do me good. Anything more I should know about them. I'd have to learn all the gizmos its got on as in comparison, the Freelanders bog basic.
Any advise welcome...
