Gauge cluster stating “READY” during drive?

Hi! I’m a bit of a newbie with Mercs as this is my first one, so bear with me :)

My question is, is it normal to see the READY-status when the vehicle is moving? To my understanding, it should be visible only when the car is stopped and the engine is running? Please correct me if I’m wrong!

Here’s a photo proof while the car was moving.

Cheers!

I assume it's a hybrid model? My GLC300e always has 'ready' lit up green when I've started the engine and when I'm driving. Does this help?

Yes, it’s a hybrid. Thanks, this was helpful! Good to know it’s not a bug.

I have unrelated question. You don’t show the additional small speedometer underneath temp display. Can you share how you turned that feature off? Thanks

Hmm, I’m not sure what you mean - I haven’t noticed such thing. Could it be a regional thing?

See my display please. One small speedometer shows km/h.

Ah, I see! I guess it’s because your speedometer is in MPH and mine is in KMH, so it’s some regional property.

This feature could be useful if you ever drive to Canada or Mexico. My previous cars with analog speedometer dials had two scales, the main one in MPH, and the other in km/h.
