GLC 220d vs 300d engine 2019

Hi everyone,

I'm awaiting delivery on a used GLC 220d 2019 (facelift with MBUX) UK Spec. I've looked it up online and still have some questions.

Are the engines in the 220d and 300d exactly the same just with different configurations? The specs look identical other than the toque/bhp.

If so would a coding remapp (chipping) bring the engine up to be the same as a 300d?

Any opinions or past experience appreciated.
