GLC 300 Hazard Warning light malfunction

Hazard warning lights are coming on spontaneously. Sometimes while driving, but sometimes while park when no one is in or around the car. Happens sometimes in the middle of the night and has drained the battery requiring vehicle be jump started. The hazard warning light malfunction notice appears on the drive screen when this happens but absolutely no rhyme or reason to when the will spontaneous come one.
