Hi, i have strange problem, all years my car was good without any issue, but this winter i have this problem: when i start engine, cooling fan starts too, not so loud, but i can see its working. After 30 mins drive, when temp on cluster is cca 90C (normal temp) i stop vehicle, stop engine but fan still running on high cca 5 mins. Its not depends on temp outside, the same if is -20C or +20C. I was in 2 MB dealers, but ECU is clear, no issues, no error codes. They dont know where is problem ... anybody some experience with this? Thanks

I have no idea if this applies to you... but some makes/models run the electric fan after engine shutdown to reduce/prevent heat soak that happens after you turn the engine off. So it can be an intentional design. I would expect the dealers to know if it's something that applied to your model in either case. I don't believe my 2020 GLC300 has ever done that, even in Arizona summers. But just a thought to investigate. Maybe it only happens in certain scenarios, but not sure what the parameters might need to be. It may not be triggering a code if it thinks it's operating as expected.

On the web are thousand posts about radiator fan running on X253+W205 (the same engine), but nobody has a real solution, i think its in some temp sensor fault, or can be something with DPF filter? When DPF regeneration is not done properly, fan running too always.

I have been struggling with this problem for 3 months and still no solution. I've been to several genuine Mercedes garages and nothing. I have also been to a special and famous (here in our country) diagnostic company. They checked all the temperature sensors in the car, the exhaust system function, the dpf filter, all the pressure sensors and everything. Still no one knows why the electric fan is spinning.

The most interesting thing is that we have had warm spring weather for a few days now. Temperatures are 10 C+ (50 fahrenheit) every day and night. And my problem has disappeared after the winter months. Now the fan doesn't spin, and everything works perfectly. But when the temps are cold outside, it spins, it makes no sense.
