Land rover have done the same with some of their diesels, I believe it is because of the new emission tests that come into effect in the UK in September. some dealers may have stock cars but I assume they will have to be registered by August 31st, may be some bargains to be had.

Does this mean I have a collectors item? 
Shame they've dropped it though - it's an awesome engine.
Has it been dropped in all models or just the GLC?
Maybe they'll be bringing the hybrid version to the UK to replace it? Think it's only LHD at the moment.
