I have been having an issue with one of my headlights (RHD drivers side) turning on on its own during the night. Last night my neighbour knock on my door to inform me that it had happened again. The single dipped headlight had come on again. I checked the light switch on opening the door and it was switched to auto as I always have it and not park light and the indicator stalk was in a neutral position.

Anyone else experienced/experiencing this?

I'm passing my local Mercedes dealers today so will go in and enquire.

A similar thing happened to me. Both headlights would come on in the middle of the night for no reason. The rear lights would still be off. The Dealer just uploaded the latest software build (Stuttgart release them several times a week) and the problem never happened again. BTW, the car is clever enough to cut power to anything that is on if the voltage drops to the minimum set for the starter motor to fire so this kind of fault won't leave you stranded.

Thanks for your reply. Didn't manage to get hold of them today as I forgot that its Sunday and the service department isn't open at my local dealers. Will phone them tomorrow and see what they have to say.

2020 - GLC 300
I have noticed this also. My right headlight randomly turns on. Mentioned it to the dealer and said they uploaded new software, but it has occurred again since. It is back in!
