very nice, another canadian!
Already not impressed with my first benz purchase as delivery is now set for July 5th.I'm a subject of the same queen
Welcome, hope the delivery will go smoothly.
If you press the "Home" button on the steering wheel, select "Service", then "Tire Pressure", does it display the tire pressures or say: "Tire Pressure Monitor Active"?I have just joined and am from Canada as well....I ordered my 2017 GLC300 Coupe in December and took possession of it on this Thursday. I ordered the Cavansite Blue Metallic, Silk Beige Artico, Alpine Brown Glossy Trim, Premium and Premium Plus Packages, Intelligent Drive Package, Active LED Lighting System, High Beam Assist, Burmester Sound and Aluminum Running Boards...
I love it so far as I had a 2015 GLA250 previously so this one is a step up and well worth the leap....
One interesting thing was that in Canada most of the Mercedes come with the tire pressure warning system based of off tire rotation only and for some reason this one was outfitted with the TPMS when built....must have run out of components for the alternate system that day....
Yes I have the TPMS and it shows the pressure of each tire which I found strange as Canada built MB's normally have the rotational biased system.....I believe I just got lucky as I like to see the pressure of each tire as well.....:wink2:If you press the "Home" button on the steering wheel, select "Service", then "Tire Pressure", does it display the tire pressures or say: "Tire Pressure Monitor Active"?
Mine says: "Run Flat Indicator Active". After reading through the (poorly written in my opinion) manual I've inferred that "Run Flat Indicator Active" means my GLC only has the rotational based monitoring system and not full blown TPMS. I thought they all came with TPMS.
Mine is a 2017 and has all the same packages as yours.
I'm a bit disappointed as I'd like to be able to see the pressures of the tires.
Very interesting.. Curious to see what surprises I will find come July.Yes I have the TPMS and it shows the pressure of each tire which I found strange as Canada built MB's normally have the rotational biased system.....I believe I just got lucky as I like to see the pressure of each tire as well.....:wink2:
Is your's AMG or 300 as well?If you press the "Home" button on the steering wheel, select "Service", then "Tire Pressure", does it display the tire pressures or say: "Tire Pressure Monitor Active"?

You need to have build code 475 Tire Pressure Monitor High Line/Mid Line his vehicle will have code 478 Tire Pressure Loss Warning System....so I don't believe adding sensors in the wheels would work.....as his system works on wheel rotationIf one car has it and the other doesn't, could TPMS be installed later on? It's a compatible system with the GLC, just didn't come with your car for some odd reason.
If you have the VIN from the dealer after its built you can find out before hand what you have....I knew before hand that it was changed to the TPMS and it was verified so.....when I picked it upVery interesting.. Curious to see what surprises I will find come July.
I had the TPLS on my last Mercedes and hated it....never knew which tire was the problem one...:laugh:After reading up on the difference between TPLS and TPMS, I hope I do get the TPLS option. Don't need to worry about getting another set of sensors for winter tires. Although it is neat to know what the pressure is for each tire.

Awesome, it will be great to have yet another owner on the forum. If all goes well, I'll finally be picking up my GLC coupe next Saturday and it looks like mine was built with code 475 - TPMS
