Hi everyone, I’m Mike and I live in Devon, I’m picking up a GLC 250 D 2018, premium plus, this weekend. I’m sure I’ll have questions for the group, in the future, I look forward to reading all your posts.

Hi just come from a 2019 GLC premium. Fantastic car and apart from a battery fix had 3 years of luxurious motoring. Swapped to a hybrid GLC just a couple of months ago.

Hi
I had a hybrid E class as a courtesy car and got 28 miles out of 100% battery charge😱😱😱😱 I just can’t get my head around the concept of plug in hybrid or full electric it’s not for anyone who gets anxiety from what I’ve experienced

hi Jmerc,

May I ask what the Battery fix was?
Having problems with the battery on our GLC - not holding the charge
What are your thoughts on the Hybrid?

Thanks
Tony
Hi All, battery fix was to do with the battery that started the car. I'm sure someone else has more knowledge but from memory I think the connection to the starter motor was starting to burn out. Anyway, the car wouldn't always start and a couple of times stopped in traffic as the stop start wouldn't operate. Mercedes fixed it no problem. I think it was quite a rare problem
Regarding the hybrid -personally it suits me down to the ground but I understand it's not for everyone. I do a 35 minutes school/office run all city centre driving and I can do it completely on electric power - not petrol involved - making it loads more economical than the pure petrol GLC I used to run around town. And then down the motorway I can get 50-60mpg if I can use the electric motor strategically, i.e. city driving to start with and town driving when I get to my destination. Like I say - wouldn't suit a high mileage motorway driver but for us it's brilliant.
