Hey Peeps,

Im new here and purchased my GLC 220 AMG Line 4matic on Tuesday. Have to say compared to the CLA 220 Shooting brake that I had previous there is nothing in comparison. the car is comfortable (even with the 20' alloys, and all weather tyres).

Im currently trying to kit the back out with a Dog Guard, boot liner and currently looking for a bumper protector so the dogs claws don't destroy the step. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also can't decide whether it should be chrome, brushed steel or black to go against there blue metallic paint.. lol

so much to choose from!!!

Welcome Barker , the all weathers will certainly get a good testing up in Scotland.
Due to snow soon so I will need to find some to try out this 4motion. Never got the Offroad package or the Air suspension so I imagine it will just to say cope.

Remember taking my dads Shogun through a snow blizzard in there outside lane on 6' fresh powder with 4 High engaged and didnt slip once. The slow lane was stopped dead. lolz
Let us know how you get on, due to snow in Dorset in 2025.
Good move up from the CLA, I heard too many bad things about them to the point I rather buy a used CPO C-Class that's a few years old!
Did you happen to test drive SUV"s from any other car makers before coming to Mercedes again?
You won't need a bumper protector if you buy a boot liner with fold out flap that drops down over the bumper. I had one in my previous 2 Audis and transfered the one from my A6 avant into my GLC, not a perfect fit but it does the job and our 3 year old Labrador hasn't managed to stick her claws through it.

Mine has the 20" wheels with all weather tyres as well and I'm happy with it.

I guess it all depends exactly how bling you want your car to look. I personally would choose the more understated black bumper paint protector as it ties in quite nicely with the black rear valance below it and the black of the boot liner inside.. This jobbie is £56 delivered and just sticks in place. The best protectors come with 3M adhesive pads so stand a better chance of not slowly detaching over time. It may be worth contacting the vendor to confirm this before placing an order:

An OEM boot liner costs around £100 from your Stealer. I got one thrown in to close the deal. It has raised edges to contain spillages but if you don't mind the absence of the 3-pointed star, this will do the same job for a lot less money:
