i am in the process of designing my glc for order and I see the magno Dakota brown is a 4k option for paint!! Holy cow this better be the most stunning color you can get to justify this kind of premium. I am struggling searching for photos of this color in another Mercedes. Maybe it is not offered in other models but I would love to see it.

I really like the color, but I don't think that any color is worth $4,000. Regardless if I have the money or not, it just seems bizarre to pay for a paint color.

That color is worth paying $4000 more to me, if you really want it you'll pay for it, especially when considering how much of the vehicles price it works out to be. Horrible reason to avoid a color you like and want on a purchase that will last you for years.

I believe these photos are the standard Dakota brown not the magno variation.

That's your opinion. It's just a color. it has nothing to do with the function or comfort of the vehicle. Sure the price is baked into your monthly payments, but think about that $4,000. You could do plenty more things with that money that will be a much better use of it. Go somewhere, do something, invest it. I'll pay for a color I like, but not $4,000.

What I'm saying is that no matter how much money I have, I think $4,000 is a lot to pay for a paint color. All depends on how much you care about the color of your car I suppose. I think that the price is good as well because it keeps it exclusive, and an exclusive color is what many of these people want. So it's playing to a particular crowd.

So can anyone confirm that the person kind enough to post the photos has indeed posted photos of the magno color or is it indeed the standard Dakota brown?

The customer has an extensive range of options when it comes to configuring their GLC. The base range covers nine standard and metallic paints and three designo paint finishes in MAGNO Dakota Brown, Diamond White, and design Cardinal Red, plus wheels up to a size of 20 inches (50.8 cm).

I am fairly sure this is the Mango Dakota Brown. '

I keep seeing that picture around but none of the sources are labeling it specifically as Magno Dakota Brown.

Likely it's the only brown, too bad it hasn't been labeled... something i noticed as well.

Finding some MB color pallet would help.

MBUSA has a build page for the GLC that lists two brown colors. The matte Magno one and the Metallic brown. Matte looks a lot better IMO.

Seeing it in person might change your opinion since the images provided online by car makers don't represent how the paint actually look in person, just gives you a reference point to judge.

But I doubt that it will be easy to get a first hand look at a color that costs $4,000 dollars. It's not something that is just sitting at dealerships.

Maybe not in every dealership but to high volume dealerships... there's a good chance. However when it comes to a color pallet book/board/etc. you'll see it on that... then of course the simulator.

Yes there is just Dakota Brown as well without the Magno designation. The Magno is much flatter color the the standard Dakota Brown.

I've heard feedback from people who have seen the Magno and they prefer it, i guess it just takes seeing the color in person to have a say in how good/bad it looks.

Not surprised. The Mango Dakota Brown looks amazing in picture so it probably looks just a nice in life.
