Mercedes-Benz is going to expand production of the GLC by starting assembly of the crossover in a factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland beginning in 2017.

The GLC is currently being produced in Bremen, Germany and Beijing, China. The Uusikaupunki, Finland site will be added to the mix starting in 2017. There was not official word of the number of GLCs to be produced in Finalnd, but it was said that it will be similar to the A-Class which would make the number around 100,000.

Wonder where Finland will ship their GLCs to. Germany is a bit closer to NA so maybe they'll provide cars for that market.

How about Russia? That seems like it would be a huge market and you can't get much closer to Russia than Finland. St. Petersburg is really close to Finland, and Moscow too.

That could indeed be the case, it surely makes sense financially at least from what I can make of it, unless they already have infrastructure in Russia.
