The coupe will carry premium pricing. I'd expect the GLC to follow the X3 and X4 closely. Figure high $30K for the 'box' and $45,000 for the GLC coupe. Roughly...

Now official:


2016 GLC300 starts at $38,950 with rear-wheel drive and $40,950 with all-wheel drive. Both are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 241 bhp and 273 lb-ft of torque.

In the future are they going to offer the GLC with more powerful engines?

I do think that these are pretty fair prices. They haven't over-priced things.

Tuning the current engine and improving it over time for power and fuel efficiency - much like what every other brand does - is what I can see being done, as its configured so far... I don't see a need for new powertrains.

Interesting... I would have thought they would eventually come out with an additional option.

Improving the engine sounds great though, and I'm sure that will happen as they improve the engine in research and development.
