Mudflaps for GLC 43

Spoke to Mercedes and they don't list mudflaps for the GLC 43 or any AMG Line models,as mine has the side steps fitted I asked them to sell me a set for a Sport with sidesteps - Part No A 253 890 10 00.
Got these today and they fit perfect,15 minute job.
Can't understand why they don't offer the option - maybe they feel you shouldn't have mudflaps on an AMG ??
Look neat and will stop the gravel rash on the lower front wings. Will post some pics up tomorrow.
Need to see if the rears will fit now but the rear valance is deeper I think, could do with a measurement off a Sport model to see.

They look good Millduu, will be interested to see how you get on with the rear ones.
It is good to know the sport version fit the AMG line atleast the front mudflap, Thanks for this update Millduu, how much does it cost ?
I hope you guys have some type of paint protection and wax on since that will help cleaning up the mess we want mud flaps to prevent. Some people i know do that and don't run mud flaps. Instead they go for more quick rinse washes.
That's why I like to keep a bottle of quick detailer in my vehicles with a microfiber towel.. give behind the wheel arches a nice little wipe down whenever I notice them getting kinda dirty.

After having my detailer lecture me about using any sort of towel on the paint I now resort to the coin-op car wash. A couple minutes spraying those areas down does a lot, especially when the paint has been treated with a product already.
Dealer says "these will not fit the car as the car has code 'P31' AMG line."
I think they should fit my 2017 GLC250d 4MATIC AMG line Premium with side step.......could anyone confirm or advise please

As far as I know they do fit, My mate bought those a few months ago and were ok. He did that after I bought mine from China because MB said they wouldn't fit, that was December 2017. He saw how much cleaner the mudflaps kept my car doors compared with his car.

At the time I tried to buy I contacted MB customer service dept as well and they somewhat snootily said mudflaps would spoil the lines of the AMG-Line.
I got a bit stroppy at that and said having paid good money for the car I could fit what the **** I like as long as not detrimental to the warranty and they were losing their dealers profit.
Hi, I am very interested in the front mudflaps you fitted....as per my previous reply, dealer says I cant fit them to mine as it has the side steps and / or "P31" build code whatever that is.

car is a 2017 GLC 250d 4matic 9Gtronic AMG line premium ....apparently

I have ALWAYS managed to fit mudflaps to all my cars as it definitely reduces the crud and, personally I think the car looks better

I fitted some to my BMW 220 with MSport trim and side-skirts (also attached to Google drive link below) , sealed the gaps with black silicone sealer and they looked like OEM - even two snotty dealerships who said it was absolutely impossible to do were highly impressed when I paraded past (with single fingered salute of course )....and they were only £29 for 4 on fleabay!

pics in link to google drive if I've done it right

Would appreciate any help, part numbers etc.

thanks

YET AGAIN......several dealers I contacted (I was not close-by to my local dealer at the time) said they would not fit, one (who lists on fleabay "up North") even went as far as to state I WOULD CAUSE significant damage to the underside of the car if I attempted to do so !!!
My local dealership agreed with me that they should fit, adding that Mercedes do not recommend them due to it having the side step and AMG trim and that it "would spoil the lines of the car".....so why make them ????? I feel that having mud and crap plastered all over it spoils it too - we dont all live in cities and drive at 10mph you know - but ordered them anyway.......not only do they fit PERFECTLY, they only took a mere couple of minutes to do - 3 small plastic poppers out, remove double sided backing strip, offer mudflap up, 3 x plastic poppers back in, press on a spring clip at the top of the mudflap and insert a self drilling screw underneath and that's it....in all honesty it took me longer to type this than to fit them !!!

The rears however do not fit at all - they are totally the wrong shape and size and none of the holes line up so I will be taking those back. Interestingly the packaging had already been opened on them so I guess someone else already tried

At the risk of duplicating previously posted pics I have attached mine - at least you can all see what a dirty one looks like LOL! :)

just found this on another forum - gasp...yes, it seems there are others :)

https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-clas...mud-flaps-glc-2016-without-running-board.html

further down the post it clearly shows the problem I experienced with the rears not fitting the cars with the AMG trim - maybe this is what the dealer was saying although they clearly stated fronts when I was asking ....and unless anyone can advise otherwise it looks like the rears will have to go without them which is somewhat irritating.....if MB can make them for the fronts with / without the side step then why not the rears also :confused:

yes, I saw those but they will only sell in a pack of four....and I now only need the rears.....unless anyone wants only the fronts and we can split them :)

Also, buying from China is a bit risky for amounts over £17 as they are subject to import tax and VAT...I know this after buying what appeared to be a cheap camcorder microphone which actually ended up costing more than buying it in the UK!
Maybe I was unlucky and got caught....maybe it depends how attentive the customs people are
I received mine with an invoice for $... below the import tax threshold and received without having to pay duty
I honestly haven’t slept since due to the deception.....

I’d suggest the additional outlay more than compensates for the oddity of having front flaps only, I appreciate my pictures are poor and the black blends into the shadows, though the rear flaps look very balanced
I bought the Chinese 4-set on EBay just to use the rear 2. The fronts fit OK, but the OEM from MB fit better, so I installed those. This hybrid approach for AMG-line with side steps works well!
