I'm coming from a 2013 Land Rover Evoque. I usually replace my car every 3-4 years and jump from one manufacturer to another. The following are the vehicles I've had the privilege to drive:

BMW 5 series
Toyota Supra (Best sports car for the price)
VW Toureg: Excellent vehicle with advanced electronics way ahead of its time when first came out.
Infiniti Q35: Nothing special
Audi A5: Beastly car.
LR Evoque: Decent SUV. Exceptional styling and customizable.

I've only had my car GLC coupe for a few days but this car pays attention to detail. Electronics are much better than the Evoque (better rear-view camera, onboard computer, and internet) and the ride is smoother. This car has everything my loaded Evoque had minus adaptive headlamps, but the quality of this vehicle is better in almost every aspect. More solid, better ride and better intuitive electronics. Gas mileage also seems better. Only negative would be that this GLC is not as capable for off-road activities (not really a concern for me). The only other issue I have noticed is that this vehicle doesn't have the customizable experience or at least the few forums I have searched doesn't have many users reporting upgrades (interior LED lights, Nerf boards, etc.).

So far, very pleased with this vehicle.

I came from a discovery sport and the GLC build quality is a lot better, shame you haven't got the intelligent lights they are brilliant and knock spots off the adaptive xenons in the DS.

Is it possible to add the intelligent lights? If so where could I purchase this item.
You can try speaking to your dealer about this or if you want a cheaper route see if an independent shop can do it all while not voiding factory warranty. Keep us posted if you end up asking.
No expert but wouldn't have thought it was possible to add them after build.
Thanks for sharing... I was teetering between the range rover evoque and the GLC 300 Coupe.. glad I made the right choice.

so glad you've confirmed what my research lead me to, but few people want to mention. In addition....I find it easier to accept feedback from someone who used the car on a daily basis for an extended period of time and not just a 5 hour review period.

I suspect a GLC fitted with the Off-road Engineering Package and the Air Body Control suspension option would equal or better the off-road performance of an Evoque. But then maybe I'm biased

Or use this as the perfect excuse to rent something with real off road capabilities that you can have confidence in. Personally im looking into renting a Lexus LX or even a Jeep Wrangler. LX as luxurious as it is still does some serious trail work!

Hey Philamg...:nerd:...Now I see why you got promoted....:wink2:....your not just a pretty face....You are 100% correct cannot be done after build, but I was told by the Stealer during the week that all GLC coming into Ireland are now fitted with the Intelligent LED lights. He had the base model in the showroom with them fitted. :smile2:
Don't tell anyone Novice but I was guessing.

Funny how all the markets differ in what's fitted, intelligent lights as standard is a real result.
