I don't have the squeaky brake issue - I have an issue with a very loud thud sound when I hit the brakes, first time it happened i thought I was driving on a flat tire or that a branch or debris was caught in my brake. Been in the shop for 4 days and no answers - seems its been escalated up. Any ideas?

Escalated up? That's a tough one to make out though. What happens after the thud? Do the brakes feel and grab regularly? Does the car pull to one side when you brake? Need much more details!
