I ordered my new GLC on January 14th. Was told it would be built in April because I ordered red and they only did red every few months. Okay I was patient. Was told car would ship end of April and arrive in port (Baltimore) early May. Dealer confirmed build on time, and that it arrived in port. Based on confirmation that my car was at the VPC in Baltimore I went and paid for it and signed the lease paperwork. Was told to expect car by mid May. Didn't arrive mid May. Dealer kept telling me to expect it any day.

Then dealer tells me all new GLCs stuck at port waiting for software updates and that my car would be released from the VPC on May 31st and delivered to dealer today. When I called today, they told me that the cars are now delayed until mid July still stuck at VPC.

Obviously Mercedes is keeping something from us. I'm told by my dealer that every Mercedes dealer in the country is having the same issue and that they are furious with Mercedes.

Something is going on and Mercedes isn't being honest. Makes me wish I had bought another Audi (had six of them and every one was trouble free.

Anyone know what's going on?

I was told on 20th May that my GLC was en route to the dealership, i had been given an expected delivery date of W/C 30th may. On the 2nd June i was told my car would be delayed due to a problem on the factory line for all GLC models. I am still waiting to hear anything from them but am pursuing a loan car to be provided by them in the meantime.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Purchased car when they told me car is being delivered to dealership and I get to pick it up in 3 days. 5 days later I was told 2 weeks delay. 2 weeks later it's another month delay. Managers and car saleman refusing to explain why port would not release the car... Considering to cancel my order and go some where else. I love the car but if I'm being told to wait for 2 months, give me a reason why. I guess I'm not the only one.

Door handles?

So I bought a GLC in the middle of May, I was supposed to have it by the end of May. It was at the port in Baltimore and it was heading to the dealership. End of May comes and I'm told its going to be a few more days. Then that changes to June 15th. I get a phone call yesterday saying the new date from Mercedes is July 15th.

My dealer told me the delay is because during quality control checks they had found something with the door handles that needed to be corrected on all the GLC's. As of yesterday (when the date was changed from June 15th to July 15th), they are still waiting for parts to be sent from Germany to the port in Baltimore to correct the door handles. All the cars there have the same issue, at least that's what I was told.

Am I the only one who was told this about the door handles??

On the plus side at least they're not waiting for the vehicle to get to you to then have the issue dealt with, better to have it taken care of before. I wouldn't doubt some car makers let cars with problems right through to the consumer. Then hope for customers to deal with it.
