Hi,
We are being told that we are leaving the ignition on when leaving our GLC250 and that is draining our battery. The car is keyless and has push start ignition.
We have had the car tested and the diagnostics, we did see the screen output, did show high over night current drain of 2.5-4 amps from time to time AND what the system stated was ignition left on, but NOT always at the same time as the high overnight current drain.
We have actively tried to leave the ignition on to see how we could do it be accident and fail to see how it is even possible. We have tried to leave the car when it is in 'stop/start' mode but as soon as we open the door the engine starts. We have tried combinations of P and leaving without pressing the button but then doors do not lock or it is very clear very thing is still on.
Any help or answers as to why we are getting dead batteries on a 6 month old car?:frown2:
