I have recently had an annoying rattle, I thought it was a DVD rattling in its case.

No, its the passenge seat, if I push the backrest away from me it stops and it stops if I have a passenger, but before I can find some time to investigate I thought I should ask here.

I know I can take it to the dealer, but that is just one big PITA for me to deal with.

Very annoying, as I've only done 900 miles, my old Tiguan never rattled after 9000 miles.

My passenger seat also rattled for a long time but has stopped now, depending on the position of the seat it would rattle very annoyingly from what I could work out the seat belt buckle (next to arm rest) was rubbing on the console causing the rattle. If I hear the rattle now I know to move the seat slightly and the noise disappears. I now have a noise coming from the over head console I think TOO much plastic causing the rattle.
My "old Calais" 2002 which I still use from time to time has never had a rattle!!

Mines has a vibration on passenger seat when I drive over rough surfaces. Only apparent when I don't have a passenger sitting on it. Seems to be the backrest as if I put pressure on it whilst driving it stops.

I just moved the seat forward a tiny bit and it seemed to stop the rattle
Anytime I hear it again I move the seat and it goes away
I did not take it to MB as they usually no help at all
After sales is rubbish

Audi/vw seem to be the way to go more robust, I had a 2008 a6 avant and sold it with 190000 on and in immaculate condition inside and out, I’ve got a 350d amg with 35500 miles now and to be honest it looks good and that’s as far as it goes, the drivers seat is worn through to the threads and guess what they are vinyl not leather how bad is that for a premium brand who command premium prices, this is my first MB and my last, going back to Audi at least they use real leather😎😎😎

Unfortunately not a fan of Audi due to their design sure they're good cars though. I have always had BMWs but still have yet to find anything as comfortable and easy to drive as my GLE250 amg. Seat rattle was super annoying but found it only there if the passenger seat base was heighten near max. Bmw had real leather and it creases and wears my Mercedes is immaculate inside still at 119000. Did have a NOX sensor go bad but that was sorted for £140. Doubt a new car would rival a 2008 for reliability these days thay don't make cars like they used to. Vw is cheap an nasty I had a golf R 2017 awful mechanically and aesthetically.
Enjoy new car 👏🏾
