Does anyone know if there is a way to select neutral withoutstarting the engine on the GLC? I’ve had a look in the online manual but can’tsee anything. If you have the ignition on, but not start the engine, it won’tallow to unselect ‘P’.
The reason I ask is on my wife’s last car (an Evoque), alsowith an electronic gear selector, there was a way to put it into neutralwithout starting the engine. This allows the car to be recovered if you areunable to start the engine.
It was also useful when I [occasionally] washed the car andwanted to move it forward slightly, I don't like starting the engine from coldand running it for only 2-3 seconds.
And the next part, I guess your can’t do anything with thecar if there is no power such as a flat battery.
