Space saver wheel

Yes! Please let me know if it fits under th boot! Any photos would be great also! I have been looking to do the same thing.
......any of you that wish to go this way with a spare i will let you all know how it fits and if it fits under the boot floor.
I would be surprised if there is enough room for a space saver.... but interested to find out!
Will let you all know when it arrives in the new year.will post photos to
Mercedes assist for me, we have paid for the service and up to them to get me going if I have a puncture.
If It fits, it may also be worth checking that running with a different rolling radius (assuming this is the case) will not damage the four wheel drive system. I know this can be a problem for Land Rovers and a quick search suggests that BMW’s X Drive may be similar. I didn’t find enough to confirm one way or the other for 4Matic (and there appears to be at least three variants). Someone may be along in a moment to demonstrate how it’s not an issue, but I would hate for you to find out the hard way.

just to let you all know if you buy the same kit as me you don't need purchase the short wheel bolts as the short wheel bolts come included in the kit.
This space saver circumference is actual closer a match to my 20 wheel than the genuine Mercedes space saver wheel.comes with a Conti Tyre fitted so better than alot of space saver wheels offered on the internet
Excellent work...... but my OCD has kicked in seeing the protective blue film still on the stainless sill, PLEASE remove it!!!!! :frown2::grin2:
Job for tomorrow lol

Hi Learoy,

I found your post about space saver tire for the GLC. It is exactly something I been looking for a few days already. Pictures you posted are great and very helpful. I tried to open the video link that you have posted but seems not working anymore. Any chance you send me a link or video itself?
I am just abt to order the same kit as you did.
Also, mine GLC is Coupe but assume trunk (under space) is the same as for "normal" GLC so the lid would close too.
Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
Davor
There's a company I just ordered a spare tire kit from because I don't want or trust run flat tires.

Their website is: Complete Spare Tire Kits | Tesla, BMW, Camaro, Corvette, Dodge...
Just want to say I appreciate this post!

My 2020 GLC has 26K on the MOE spec Run Flats (Conti Cross Contact Sport SSR). The fronts are showing a lot of wear despite proper rotation. I ordered the Modern Spare kit and plan to put "normal" tires on my GLC for hopefully better wear and also the ability to patch/plug if needed. I've already replaced one tire and also just saw a nail in yet another. Run flats really suck!

I agree.. I have a 2020 GLC 300 and it is a year old. and after having a flat (had to buy a new tire.. it was not repairable) thee 1st month.. I was so mad. I was in a major town at lunch time so thankfully near a MB dealership. I live 60 miles from the closest. I just replaced all 4 and got Michelin's THEY WERE ALL SOOO SLICK!! I'm looking for a spare kit also. BTW.. such a better ride now!

Are the michelins NON run flats? Are you noticing a difference in ride quality? I just bought Michelins for my staggered setup 20 inch rims that came out this year. I'm hoping the ride is much better. These old run flats make so much noise when going over cracked road surface.
pretty good thread here for this topic as well. all kinds of helpful stuff around.... GLC 300 4Matic Tire Replacement Question Pirelli...
