Tire wear and clonking....

After discovering excessive tire wear and clonking on my wife’s GLC 43 AMG after 8000 miles I found this forum. I have read most of the threads on this topic but I was wondering if there are any owners in the US that had their tires replaced under warranty. Our dealer in Charleston, SC made us believe that this is “normal”. None of my previous performance SUV’s had this issue

I'm US based and I haven't experienced this. What size and type of tire? I'm over 8,000 miles and tires look good
LHD car owners have also reported the crabbing.
I found this forum between placing my order and taking delivery last year. I was somewhat concerned about the crabbing issues, but most if not all of the issue was with RHD. The issues in the forum mostly seems smaller in occurrence.

Since I took delivery, I've paid special attention to the feel during sharp low speed maneuvers and tire wear. So far, no crabbing and tires look fine after 8,000 miles. I'm riding on 20" wheels with Goodyear eagle sport all season MOE tires. My driving style is mild with a lot of interstate miles.

Vincent, does your glc have the 21" summer tires?
I have a 17 GLC300. My Tires started to go at 12000. They were so loud at 19000 I had to replace. I was told that they are performance run flats and no warranty offered. So now at 41000 I’m having to replace them again. Any suggestions?

I live in Europe and also have the GLC 43 with 21" wheels/tires. Surprisingly when we test drove the model it was not the one we bought which was the showroom model. The one test driven has smaller wheels and was a very warm day in April so the issue would not show itself. However as it gets cold here in the winter it was so bad I got out a few times when backing up and thought I had hit something the noise was so bad. PhilAMG on this site is a great resource and from what I understand it is still an issue with the AMG 43/63 even with the 2020 models. Sorry to say you are stuck with the issue for now. I have done some research and most AMG model cars eat tires in some way or another so would prepare for that. My 2 cents on this.
