Hi Rob and welcome to the forum. Your question has raised more questions! Since you have replaced your OEM Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 tyres with an identical set, can we assume you have not been affected by the tyre skipping phenomenon that has plagued most of us? Your car is still in warranty yet you don't appear to have taken the opportunity to nab a set of the free all-season tyres which MB have been offering, nor the recently devised final solution of modified steering knuckles.

But to answer your question, most of us here are now running the more flexible all-season grade of tyres, Michelin Cross Climate and Vredestein Quadrac 5 being two very popular brands in terms of performance and longevity.

For completeness, have a read of this post just to confirm you are aware but not affected by the tyre skipping problem:

Thanks all, I didn’t actually realise I had the crabbing issue, but it seems I have. So I’ve just got off the phone with my local dealership. The car goes in for an assessment next week, also got new tyres if they do the upgrade.
