USB/Bluetooth Audio Issue

I have a 2019 GLC300 AMG without CarPlay. I will be playing music via Bluetooth and then want to charge my iPhone. Once I am connected via the cord, the music stops working. I've tried both USB outlets but that doesn’t do the trick. Any suggestions? I didn’t have this problem with my GLA so I am super confused.

I think you will find that the car is prioritising they cable connection over the Bluetooth connection, much like if your laptop is connected over wifi, and then you plug in Ethernet, your laptop ignores the wifi and just uses the ethernet connection. The quality would probably be better that way too, but unlike the above laptop scenario, you should be able to force the car back to Bluetooth if you want to. Now you might say that you didn’t need to in your last car, and that’s fair enough (and a bummer), but we just have to deal with the cards we’re dealt I guess, or maybe I’m wrong about all of it! Hope this helps. 😊
I have the same set up. I can listen to Bluetooth music with great quality while charging. You just have to buy a plug in charger and use via your 12V port vs the USB in the console. It won’t work if you use them, confuses the system.
