Hi,
i did a test drive on 2017 GLC 300 and i liked over other similar models x5, q5.
i got a deal for $45400 with package 2 with parking assist and rear heated seats.
i put a counter offer $45k and walked out. Is it a good price to pay for 2017 model given 2018 is due in couple of months.

thanks

based on my search availability was tight - they seem to be selling quickly - i received quotes anywhere from $1800 to $3800 off MSRP, but anytime i visited a dealer teh second time the cars i saw the first time were gone. agreed depends on where you are actually buying may make a big difference on how you can negotiate

GLC 300 right now is a hot seller. If you can get 5% off MSRP that would be considered a "fair" deal. It really depends on where you are, what time of month (last day of month would be best). How large the dealer is. For example I bought mine from MB of Beaumont, TX but Greenway MB in Houston, TX sells almost as many MB in a month that as Beaumont in a year so they have more room to negotiate.

Several things ...

1. Be ready to walk if you can't get "YOUR" price.
2. Watch the fine print for any paperwork they want you to sign.
3. If your in an area that have more than one MB dealer shop around ... and let them know they aren't the only game in town!

Finally depending on your budget you can get much more car IF you can find a low mileage CPO. All dealers have loaners or lease cars that get put up for sale. Ask if they have any and compare.

I just picked up my 2017 yesterday (I live in eastern part of PA), the MSRP was almost $54K. They had 2 2018's on the lot, with more on the way. So they were willing to work with me, now that is a first for me when buying a Mercedes. I was always told the sticker price is the price, no negotiating with them. However in this case, they dropped to 48K, good deal? I don't know, but i'm happy with it.

My 2017 stickered at $54k US , took it home at $52k plus winter floor mats. Looked a long time for while with P3 so I felt it was worth getting exactly what I wanted.
