Hi Everyone, I have exactly the same problem as described above.

I took delivery of a GLC 43 AMG in November and the car has been back to the dealer twice, and I have complained to Mercedes.

Mercedes have now come back and said that the only solution is winter wheels, as this isn't a performance or safety issue.

Problem is that I have the optional 21" wheels on the car and there are no winter tyre options available. So it's a complete set of wheels that are needed at a cost of ÂŁ3000.

That isn't right in my opinion, how can mercedes be allowed to do this to customers?

I would also appreciate any updates from any other owners on their problems with this issue with full lock.
I have just purchased a 71 plate glc 43 and I have already complained to Mercedes after only a week of owning the car what happens when parking the car using partial lock left and right , I was told first time I mentioned it it was the Mercedes crabbing but sounds more like a clonking so it’s booked in the garage to be checked out , also a whine from under the car at 50mph , will let you know the outcome, the car also has 21” alloy wheels and continental tyres all round .

Clonking, Skipping & Juddering is 100% Crabbing that unfortunately cannot be fixed on the AMG GLC 43

Winter tyres will help but only mask the issue - smaller wheels also help.

Be interesting to hear what your Stealer says.

Excellent car that owners just learn to live with the Crabbing 🤷‍♂️

No recall for the GLC43 AMG

Recall was New Steering Knuckles - Struts for non-AMG GLC’s. The C43 has completely different steering & suspension that MB couldn’t fix to stop Crabbing

For C43 AMG fitting smaller wheels and Winter tyres helps mask the crabbing, but doesn’t resolve it

Afraid it’s a characteristic of the car that owners have to live with

Great car apart from the Crabbing
